We want to thank, and congratulate, Mrs. Hoffman and Mrs. Rung for their many years of wonderful teaching. We will miss them greatly and wish them the best in their retirement.

Summer Technology Program

Registration is currently underway for the Lincoln Public Schools 2008 Summer Technology Program. The program is for students entering grades 5-9 next fall. The purpose of the program is to provide upper elementary and middle level students an opportunity to explore their interest in computers and technology.

One week courses will be offered between June 9 and July 11. All classes will be held at the Information Technology Focus Program (285 South 68th Street Place, Fourth Floor).

Hands-on computer experiences in video production, music production, animation, robotics, programming and graphic design are among some of the typical course offerings.

Sessions are filled with fun, age-appropriate activities using state of the art hardware and software. All classes are taught by certified LPS classroom teachers.

Registration forms are available in elementary/middle school offices and on the web at http://stp.lps.org. Walk in registrations are accepted at the Information Technology Focus Program, 285 S. 68th Street Place, Fourth Floor. Call 436-1776 for additional information.

Teammates Awards

Fifth grader, Logan Brown, and Teammate mentor, Chad Vinatieri, were honored at the annual Teammates Mentoring Program Celebration on February 7, 2008. Logan was recognized for a Student Achievement Award and Mr. Vinatieri received the Teammates Mentor Hall of Fame Award.
